Telecom Industry Case Study

Implementation of Business Intelligence Solution for a Telecom Client

 Client Profile

A leading  telecom company  with revenue over 10 billion

Challenge
Systems lacked the functionality required to access (in real-time) critical information that could be relied upon as being consistent. AT&T realized that their legacy systems, with their numerous ad-hoc spreadsheet processing and reporting systems would need to be replaced if they were to manage their information productively with so many changes and with the competitive pressures in their industry.
The client sought to replace its Great Plains software with SAP but faced a complex implementation for several reasons. A concurrent implementation with Oracle Financials increased the risk of the project. The company wanted to be able to implement SAP Business Objects for one source of ERP and invoice-related reporting. The company needed to create a wide range of integrations between its key business systems such as CRM, inventory management, warehousing, shipping, and financials.
Solution
SAPSOL Technologies Inc. team implemented a SAP BI based solution.
The team designed a data warehouse solution which solved clients immediate challenges while also being scalable for future phases across the enterprise keeping cloud and mobility in mind.
The solution provided the capabilities to consolidate data from multiple SAP environments as well as external data sources. The information is then made available to users in an intuitive self-service reporting tool.
SAPSOL Deliverable
The solution being implemented by SAPSOL Technologies Inc. provided tight integration with the SAP R/3 environments leading to shorter implementation times and better visibility to information.
Leveraged standard capabilities in SAP instead of developing custom solutions.
The application will serve as the long-term Enterprise data warehouse and allow Avaya to consolidate its other reporting applications into this one scalable solution. This solution provides the business with self-service reporting to critical information that currently resides in disparate locations.
